This page summarizes how Making Cents collects and processes data for platform operations and third-party identity providers, including Apple and Google sign-in review requirements.

Data Used for Authentication

When signing in with Apple or Google, we process identity information such as provider user ID, email address, and display name to create and secure your account.

Data Used to Provide the Service

We process account profile details, receipt and transaction records, budget preferences, cloud sync data when enabled, device registration data for notifications, and subscription status to deliver app functionality.

Optional Community Data Sharing

If you opt in to community price sharing, we process selected purchase details needed to support price comparison features. This sharing is optional and can be turned off in the app.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We use trusted processors for cloud hosting, authentication, and notifications. We do not sell personal data. We only share information required to operate the service or comply with law.

Data Retention

Account-linked data is retained while your account is active and as required by legal, operational, and fraud-prevention obligations. When you delete your account, we delete the account-connected data described in our Privacy Policy.

User Controls

Users can initiate account deletion in the iOS app, manage subscriptions through Apple, choose whether to enable cloud sync and community sharing, and contact [email protected] for support or privacy help.
